The Active Edit is a platform to inform, motivate and inspire you to move more, whether that is through structured exercise classes, sports or just being more active in daily life. Not all of us enjoy the gym or spinning classes, but that’s OK. There are loads of ways to stay active without getting anywhere near Lycra. For those that do enjoy getting a good sweat on, there’s plenty for you too.
The Active Edit will keep you informed and inspired. Translating the media hype and academic jargon, we will tell you what you need to know about the benefits of exercise for both mind and body. We will also provide you with plenty of ideas, inspiration and confidence to encourage activity in your life.

Ever since I studied health psychology at school I have been intrigued by the complexities around engaging in healthy behaviour. I’m particularly passionate about the benefits of physical activity for mind and body and firmly believe that you don’t have to be ‘sporty’ to be active.
My academic background (I have an MSc in Health Psychology, a PhD and worked as an academic researcher for several years) means I can distill all the latest research into the key points which are meaningful for everyone.
